Our unique, pre-built stock screens help members uncover new investment opportunities by analyzing various financial metrics, investing styles and strategies. The purpose of AAII’s stock screens is to provide members with access to a wide range of investment approaches.
Did you know that research indicates using the price-to-sales (P/S) ratio may lead to better investment results? Firms with low price-to-sales ratios can be good prospects for future share price increases. The AAII Price-to-Sales screen allows you to easily filter through companies to find stocks that are undervalued based on the price-to-sales ratio with attractive expected earnings and cash flow levels.
In the AAII Stock Screening Community, we posed a question regarding this specific screen to our “collective brain” of investors. We asked them what their thoughts were on using the price-to-sales ratio to screen for attractive investments during a volatile bear market, as well as which metrics they tend to gravitate toward when looking for stocks to invest in. Because we have many thoughtful members, they were excited to chime in on the subject:

When Zoom Is the Room, Affinity Meets Proximity
The pandemic brought our in-person chapter meetings to a complete halt for a year. We’re nostalgic for the camaraderie but ambivalent about going back.
Zoom enabled us to continue holding meetings during the pandemic and had the added benefit of allowing chapters to invite people from everywhere. Livestreaming gives members alternative ways to connect with AAII. And more venues are embedding audiovisual electronics to serve the changing needs of users.
We currently have 24 active chapters hosting meetings, with another 10 that are inactive but still extant. AAII currently supports eight topical special interest groups (SIGs) that transect geographic boundaries:
- Growth Investing
- Options Strategies
- Sustainable Investing (ESG)
- Income Investing
- Stock Screening
- Mutual Funds & ETFs
- Allocation Strategies
- Technical Analysis

Together, these communities form the warp and weft of a fabric that can cross-promote topical events to many locales and share local events with affinity groups nationwide. Check out the action at https://community.aaii.com.
