Attending a local chapter meeting can give you more than just the opportunity to meet fellow AAII members and learn from great speakers—it can also expose you to helpful resources. The AAII Cleveland Chapter, for instance, works with our local libraries to provide additional education.

We leverage library resources of meeting rooms, internet access and video production to make meetings geographically accessible in an inviting and comfortable setting. Partnering with business reference librarians, the AAII Cleveland Chapter hosts invigorating speakers on topics of interest. The librarians will often prepare a book cart of holdings related to a partner library/AAII chapter presentation for participants to check out for additional research after a presentation.

Many libraries also provide access to specialized business-related databases and periodical publications with subscription costs that are prohibitive for an individual. These resources help you to conduct further research and pursue ideas that may enhance portfolio performance.

These partnerships serve both AAII and the libraries through greater participation, increased circulation and promotion of shared educational goals. Attending your local chapter meetings can expose you to valuable resources and partnerships you may not have known existed, from premium research databases to expert networking opportunities that would be costly to access individually. These creative collaborations demonstrate how AAII’s local chapters expand their impact and value to members far beyond traditional meeting formats.
