AAII.com: New Features

The most recent additions to our constantly evolving site include a portfolio management area that suggests allocations and giving members the ability to E-mail select AAII articles to a friend.
We strive to improve and enhance our Web site on a continual basis to make your visit to AAII.com more educational and enjoyable. Over the past few months, we have added new features with this goal in mind.

Visit the Portfolio Management Area

Our portfolio management area is a great place to learn asset allocation and the “hows and whys” behind successful investment portfolio creation.

Visit this area by clicking on Portfolio Management under Portfolios on the upper left side of the home page or go to www.aaii.com/portfoliomanagement.

You can use the Portfolio Observer to get updated asset allocation and diversification strategies. There are suggested allocations for aggressive, moderate and conservative investors, which are updated monthly and defined by AAII’s national panel of financial professionals. You can learn more about the panel by clicking the “Go” button in the box labeled “AAII’s Asset Allocation Experts” on the Portfolio Observer page of the Web site (www.aaii.com/ppo).

Additionally, pie charts offer a graphical representation for each investor type, and broad allocation scenarios discuss possible return, portfolio growth, risk and investment time horizon for each example. After choosing your desired asset allocation, take a look at the recommended “Monthly Action” reading.

The Portfolio Management area also offers featured articles that discuss a range of topics including retirement planning, rebalancing your portfolio and asset allocation in retirement. Featured articles are updated weekly.

Do you have an investment portfolio question or want definitions to all that portfolio management jargon? You can browse the portfolio management Frequently Asked Questions section. Also, the portfolio management download library includes articles and free software downloads to help you manage your portfolio. Click on download library from the portfolio management page or go to www.aaii.com/dloads and choose Portfolio Management from the “Download Search” drop-down menu.
