The A+ Stock Grades Screener allows you to filter for stocks based on their scores within the A+ Stock Grades system. It is one of the most popular features of A+ Investor, and we’ve recently rolled out some additional features that make it even more useful to subscribers.
The enhancements to the A+ Stock Grades Screener allow A+ Investor subscribers to filter on stock grades against specific groups of companies—user portfolios, passing company lists from the AAII Stock Screens and specific sectors or industries. New drop-down menus allow you to select between these options.
You can access the A+ Stock Grades Screener here, or you can select the Stock Grades Screener links under the Investing Ideas or Screening tabs from the menu bar at the top of AAII.com.
Stocks are still graded A–F on five rating factors: value, growth, momentum, earnings estimate revisions and quality. The grades are based on percentile rankings of the 6,000+ companies in AAII’s stock universe that are calculated and updated every day. You can see the percentile rankings of the underlying data points for each grade. You’re also provided a list of the company’s competitors and their grades.
You can now use the Screener on a portfolio you have created using the My Portfolio tool. Click the Load Portfolio button to bring up a list of all of your portfolios. Click the blue Select button for the portfolio you wish to analyze, and the stocks in that portfolio will be loaded into the Screener data table.
Another new feature is the Load Screens button, which allows you to perform grade filters on the companies passing any of AAII’s Stock Screens.
The new Sector and Industry buttons give you drop-down menus for running the Stock Grades Screener against companies’ competitors. This makes it easy to isolate a set of stocks if you want to look for highly graded stocks within a subset of the stock market.
