State Street SPDR Port S&P 500 Gr ETF (SPYG) is a passively managed U.S. Equity Large Growth exchange-traded fund (ETF). State Street Investment Management launched the ETF in 2000.
The investment seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the total return performance of the S&P 500 Growth Index that tracks the performance of large capitalization exchange traded U.S. equity securities exhibiting "growth" characteristics.
The fund generally invests substantially all, but at least 80%, of its total assets in the securities comprising the index. The index measures the performance of the large-capitalization growth segment of the U.S. equity market. It is non-diversified.
