bullish sentiment
The percentage of investors who expect the stock market to rise in the near future. Bullish sentiment is a measure of optimism and is often reported as a percentage. AAII tracks investor sentiment in the AAII Investor Sentiment Survey by polling members each week on whether they feel that the direction of the stock market will be up (bullish), down (bearish) or unchanged (neutral) over the next six months. High bullish sentiment can indicate strong confidence in market growth but may also serve as a contrarian warning signal if optimism becomes excessive, as overly bullish crowds can precede market corrections.
