Dictionary
no-load fund
A fund sold directly by the investment company at the net asset value without any sales charge. However, no-load funds do charge operating expenses. Also, a no-load fund could incur other fees, such as an annual 12b-1 fee. Be sure to check the fund's prospectus for all fees and compare a fund's expense ratio against similar funds in the same investment category.
