penny stock
Stock of companies with very low market capitalizations and share price and that trade on the over-the-counter (OTC) market. Penny stocks differ from exchange-listed stocks in having a lack of reliable publicly available information, not being required to follow minimum standards for listing and having much higher risk due to lack of a proven track record, frequent absence of assets or revenue and generally low trading volume. Penny stocks are also more susceptible to fraud and manipulation.
