value stock
Stock of companies whose price looks cheap relative to earnings, assets, dividends or cash flow. There is no single ratio accepted as the defining indicator of what qualifies a stock as being value or growth. The price-to-book-value ratio has the longest history of being an accepted measure. The ratio was popularized in the 1930s by Benjamin Graham and David Dodd in their book, “Security Analysis.”
