Biography:

Wayne A. Thorp, CFA, is a former AAII vice president. He was head of research and analysis and a senior financial analyst at AAII. Thorp was the creator and lead analyst for AAII Sentiment Investing and AAII Growth Investing. He was also involved in creating or developing numerous other AAII products and services, including the Stock Superstars Report, AAII Dividend Investing, VMQ Stocks and A+ Investor. He was also the program manager of Stock Investor Pro, AAII’s fundamental stock screening and research database program.

Thorp is a 1997 honors graduate of DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. During his 28 years at AAII, he wrote extensively on technical analysis, quantitative stock screening and fundamental stock analysis.

Thorp was awarded the Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2002.
