Biography:

Professor Campbell R. Harvey is a professor of finance at Duke University and a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). Harvey edited The Journal of Finance from 2006–2012 and served as the 2016 president of the American Finance Association. Harvey is investment strategy adviser to the Man Group plc, and partner and senior adviser at Research Affiliates LLC. He has received eight Graham and Dodd Awards/Scrolls for excellence in financial writing from the CFA Institute. In four of the last five years, he has been the recipient of Jacobs-Levy-Bernstein-Fabozzi awards including best paper awards in 2015 and 2016. Over the past five years, Harvey has taught “Innovation and Cryptoventures” at Duke University. The course focuses on blockchain technology covering both the mechanics and applications of this new technology.
