Biography:

Cole Smead, CFA, is the CEO and a portfolio manager at Smead Capital Management, where he oversees all activities of the firm. He is the final investment decision-maker for the firm’s international equity portfolios. Smead has been with the firm since its founding in 2007. Prior to joining Smead Capital Management, he served as a financial adviser at Wachovia Securities in Scottsdale, Arizona. Smead holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute. He holds a B.A. in economics and history from Whitman College.
