Biography:
Jane G. Heinrichs is senior associate counsel for the Investment Company Institute (ICI), where she is primarily responsible for legal and regulatory issues relating to money market funds, municipal securities and ETFs.
Prior to joining ICI in 2004, Heinrichs was an associate in the asset management group at Shearman & Sterling LLP, providing legal and regulatory advice to registered investment companies, private domestic and offshore investment funds, investment advisers, broker-dealers and other financial institutions. From 1997 to 2000, she worked as an attorney for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, both in the Division of Investment Management and the Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations.
Heinrichs received a J.D., magna cum laude, from the American University Washington College of Law and a B.A. in philosophy from Binghamton University.
