Biography:

Jason West is a consulting financial economist specialising in the areas of pension economics, quantitative finance and risk management. He is an adjunct professor of finance at the University of New England Business School in Queensland, Australia, and holds degrees in mathematics, finance and engineering. He has worked as an executive in quantitative analysis and risk for several organizations including Standard Chartered Bank, Commonwealth Bank, KPMG, BHP Billiton, Queensland Treasury and Suncorp. He has also conducted research for the past 20 years as an academic and authored over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles in finance, economics and organisational responses to climate change. He is a CPA, wealth adviser and a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA).
