Jay Clayton
Jay Clayton is chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). He was nominated to chair the SEC on January 20, 2017, by President Trump and sworn in on May 4, 2017. During his tenure, the SEC has focused on furthering the interests of America’s Main Street investors, updating and enhancing the regulation and oversight of equity and fixed-income markets, and making American capital markets more accessible to both businesses and investors.
