Biography:
Luis García-Feijóo is an associate professor of finance at Florida Atlantic University. He teaches investments and international finance and he is the Ph.D. program coordinator for the finance department. Prior to joining FAU, he worked as director of exam development at the CFA Institute and was an associate professor at Creighton University.
García-Feijóo has served as associate editor of the Financial Analysts Journal since 2012 and acted as interim editor in 2014. He has published his research in leading academic and practitioner journals such as the Journal of Finance, the Review of Asset Pricing Studies, the Journal of Financial Research, the Financial Analysts Journal, and the Journal of Portfolio Management. His work has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post and Ft.com, among others.
García-Feijóo earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2001 and the Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM) in 2011. He holds a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Missouri-Columbia. García-Feijóo actively served on the board of directors of the CFA Society of South Florida from 2009-2014. He is an active volunteer and consultant for the CFA Institute.
